Through my studio practice, I reflect on challenging societally-prescribed identity and inherited relational patterns. My colorful objects offer a gentle invitation to see personal growth as curiosity and play as a tool to exhuming a buried sense of self.
My pieces are a reflection of creating with play as the primary focus, embracing imperfection, and using what is already available to us — emotionally and physically — to build an approachable, welcoming perspective. With my work, I aim to create my own light, allowing others to feel encouraged to shine for themselves in this society that encourages us to dim and conform.
