By prioritizing play, my studio practice challenges societally-prescribed identity, expectations, and assumptions with vulnerability and enthusiasm.
My pieces and experiences are created with play as the primary focus, embracing imperfection and using what is already available to us — emotionally and physically — to allow space for new perspectives.
Silly and inviting on the surface, but layered with opportunity for perspective shifts, empathy, and deeper understanding. That’s the goal with my work – to encourage self-reflection and contemplation through approachable, playful presentation.
I offer inspiration to approach life with curiosity, see play as a tool to foster deeper connection to ourselves and others, and find wonder in the everyday.
